This session is designed to support students to become independent thinkers, inquisitive learners and confident speakers. We recognise that fostering critical thinking skills early in a secondary education can also help build students’ overall confidence in the transition from primary to secondary education. This workshop gets students to think logically, construct arguments and compete against other groups in a mini-debate.
Understand why it is important to ask questions;
Work in a group to produce a number of difference arguments based on a given topic;
Present own ideas confidently in a debate-style discussion.
