One Hour Health Check

The One Hour Health Check provides school students with the opportunity to learn about human biology, what doctors do and how to become a doctor or work in healthcare in the future. Students will take part in an interactive activity led by trained Medical student volunteers. This activity will be linked to human biology within the secondary curriculum, for instance health and lifestyle choices, cardiac and respiratory physiology or first aid. The content of the session will depend on which Medical students are running the session. School students will also have the opportunity to question the Medical students about their experience of school, higher education and careers in Medicine.
