Performance (Dance) Taster

About

Please note whilst this activity aims to widen participation it is promoting a specific opportunity at Leicester College.

The FD in Performance (Dance) is an intensive, dynamic 2 year degree course awarded by De Montfort University which is designed to prepare the dancer for the professional industry in a range of performance related fields. Emphasis is placed upon studio practice whilst developing the academic knowledge required for a sustainable career. Learners engage in an intensive dance programme to develop technique and performance skills across a variety of styles including contemporary, jazz, ballet and street styles.

The taster session aims to introduce students to the dynamic contemporary work studied by undergraduate students at Leicester College through a fun and challenging practical workshop. There will be opportunities to speak to staff and students and see campus facilities as part of the morning.
