REACH Conference 2016

Wednesday 15th June 2016

The recent REACH conference at Beaumanor Hall provided an opportunity for WP practitioners from across the county to come together for a day of amusement, learning and networking.

The day kicked off with an exciting Key Note from educational speaker, Joy Marsden. Joy motivated and inspired participants with tips and tricks from her new book ‘Keep Stepping’.

This was followed by a research update from Emma Church (EMWPREP) and consultant Dr. Neil Raven, both of whom have been engaged in WP evaluation in the local area.

The main portion of the day was used for interactive workshops from the REACH delivery providers. Providers were asked to input a workshop of their choice to demonstrate what they could offer to local schools and colleges. This included activities from the following subject areas;  Artistic Make Up, Forensic Science and Medicine.

Further updates came from the REACH Disability officer on the popular Youth Mental Health First Aid course, as well as information on CHE Scholarship.

Presentations from the day are available for download from the activity page.
